CID RIM X Luckyme

CID RIM is the production alias of Clemens Bacher, the lynchpin of the local scene and lifelong collaborator / live drummer for the virtuoso Dorian Concept. Clemens is an active free jazz performer and tutor, whose live shows as CID RIM are a dynamic lesson in what you can do with modern equipment.

ABOUT CID RIM´S CURRENT MICRO ALBUM VIA LUCKY ME:
He has crafted this release, opting out of countless soft-synths to truly master his palette. The result is something that sounds full and real, distinctly un-ableton. Distinctly un-pre-set. These 10 tracks are songs, each with their own motivation and pace. This debut is a confident, organic, genre-defying work of heady new club music. Jazz progressions opening in swells around live arrhythmic percussive texture and frenetic drum machine workouts. Across the tracks one hears touches of Ornette Coleman, John Mclaughlin, Dimlite, Moody Man, Timbaland and Squarepusher. And it’s with apprehension we drop such varied references but the binding thread throughout the album is Clemens´ focused writing. The sense of inertia and movement on this record is undeniable. These are not just the scattered ideas of yet another fusion producer in 2012. It’s something deeper, more deliberate and altogether more exciting.
